Zollverein School has unique form. it is like a big cube. the building is about 35 meter cube and stands so strong in a field. the located is between a historical coalmining factory and a sprawling suburb. the building seen too large as school of management and design and among other building in that area. the ceiling heights were appropriate for the educational spaces, particularly for the studio level that occupies an entire slab of the structure. then, the floor is an unusually lofty and fully flexible space, which is enclosed only by external structural walls. last, the walls filter the light and view from the surrounding factory landscape, softening the transition between exterior and interior. it was completed by SANAA.
