American designer Mark Tracy of Chemical Spaces has completed Hurtado in Residence Las Vegas, Nevada. The intent of this project was to create a modern art gallery space for entertaining in style hip young travelers. The 11-foot custom-designed aluminum front door opens into strips Italian tile floor, a three-story elevator tower surrounded by art, custom, and a sliding scale cut stainless steel. A chimney of 14 m wide is the primary characteristic of the kitchen and living room, complete with metal cabinets and wooden floors Scavolini silver. The blue LED lights illuminate the entire ceiling of the second layer that extends from the kitchen and down the wall of the media and fireplace, but also accents the ceiling of the master bath.
The residence is located in the back, a luxury custom home community west of Las Vegas at Red Rock Canyon. The house is 10,000 square meters.
Planning began in June 2009 and construction was completed in January 2011.
