NYCTech Campus was designed by a collaboration between the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and Cornell University in New York. Both institutes have used their powers in green technology to provide the design of an international competition to design a new Graduate School of Applied Science in Roosevelt Island.
The work of the Technion and the University of Cornell, has been selected as the winner of the competition in the fall of 2011. New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg presented the award to the team. Classes on campus to start in September this year. The center of the giant Technion-team Cornell can accommodate 25,000 students and teachers 280.
Campus 2000000 square feet is proposed to strengthen the capacity of the city of applied science and is likely to revive its economy, says the press release from the Technion. The center aims to be environmentally friendly range of technologies. In fact, the technological center of New York will be one of the best campus environment in the world.

According to an economic impact analysis, the technology center could generate billions in economic activity worldwide over the next 30 years. It is also believed that the center create more than 20,000 and 8,000 construction jobs full-time employment.
